Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing quality headers in the USA since 1954, and manufacturing Chevy trucks headers for nearly as long. Each set uses mild steel, smooth flowing, CNC mandrel bent tubes, that are hand-welded to ensure each pair is identical. Hedman's unique, gasketless ball and socket collector design allows your Small Block Chevy exhaust system to bolt up, even if it is not perfectly aligned.
This set is part of Hedman's ELITE® line of headers. Hedman ELITE® headers have a heavy-duty design that uses stout 3/8 in. flanges, and thicker 14 gauge primary tubes. The heavier-duty construction of HEDMAN ELITE® Hedders makes them ideal for high-performance engines and tow vehicles, which produce higher exhaust temperatures.
ELITE® models have a MATTE-SILVER ceramic finish that can withstand temperatures up to 1400 degrees F. The coating produces faster exhaust speeds for improved exhaust scavenging, and reduces under hood temperatures.
These LONG-TUBE headers are covered by CARB E.O. (Executive Order) #D167-33, making them 50-State Legal for the vehicles listed on the arb.ca.gov website. They fit 1967-1987 2WD & 4WD Chevy/GMC 1/2 Ton and 3/4 ton trucks, Blazers and Suburbans (check the application listings for exact fitment), powered by a Small Block Chevy engine (with A.I.R. System).. The smooth 1-5/8 in. tube design provides ample exhaust flow to let your truck's 283-400 SB Chevy engine breathe easy, and produce maximum horsepower and torque.
Each set includes a pair of gaskets, header flange bolts and collector bolts. No collector gasket is needed.
Hedman Hedders is so confident in the quality of its headers that these headers are factory backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The ceramic-metallic finish is covered by a 5-year factory warranty, in addition to Hedman's standard lifetime header warranty.
