Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing quality headers in the USA since 1954, and they've been manufacturing long and MID-LENGTH tube headers for Chevy passenger cars for decades. Each set uses mild steel, smooth flowing, CNC mandrel bent tubes, that are hand-welded to ensure each pair is identical to the next. Hedman's unique, gasketless ball and socket collector design allows your Big Block Chevy exhaust system to bolt up, even if it is not perfectly aligned with the header collectors.
This set is part of Hedman's ELITE BLACK line of headers. Hedman ELITE BLACK headers have a heavy-duty design that uses stout 3/8" flanges, and thicker 14 gauge primary tubes. The heavier-duty construction of HEDMAN ELITE BLACK Hedders makes them ideal for high-performance engines and tow vehicles, both of which produce higher exhaust temperatures.
BLACK ELITE models have a Satin-Black ceramic finish that looks great and keeps more heat in the tubes. This results in faster exhaust speeds for improved exhaust scavenging, and reduced underhood temperatures.
These LONG-TUBE headers fit a variety of BB Chevy (396-454) powered 1967-77 Chevy passenger cars. Model like, 1967-69 Camaros, 64-77 Chevelles and El Caminos, 68-74 Novas, and 1965-70 Belair, Impala and Biscayne models. The smooth 1-3/4 in tube design provides ample exhaust flow to let your 396-454 Chevy engine breathe easy, and produce maximum horsepower and torque.
Each set includes a pair of gaskets, header flange bolts and collector bolts. No collector gasket is needed. Hedman Hedders is so confident in the quality of its headers, they are factory backed by Hedman's Limited Lifetime Warranty. The ceramic coating is covered by a 5 year factory warranty, in addition to Hedman's standard lifetime header warranty.
