Hedman Hedders, along with its Hedman Husler race header division, have been building quality headers in the USA since 1954! Hedman has manufactured long and mid-length tube headers for GM A-Body cars for decades, so designing a good fitting, great performing set of headers for popular LS engine swaps is nothing new.
These STEPPED long tube LS swap headers fit 1978-1981 GM A-Body and 1982-1988 GM G-Body Cars (Caballero, Cutlass, El Camino, Grand Prix, Regal, and 1988 Monte Carlo). They have a mild steel construction, and use smooth flowing, 1-7/8 in. x 2 in. diameter STEPPED TUBES that provide higher torque across the entire RPM range. The smaller tube diameter at the exhaust port increases back-pressure at low-RPM to improve low-end torque from the line, or out of the corner, while the larger diamter tube segment produces more torque as you reach Wide-Open throttle.
The stout 3/8" header flanges ensure a great seal that will resist warping, and the high-flow 3 in. race collectors ensure unimpeded exhaust flow for maximum performance.
These headers have Hedman's high temperature, BLACK-MAXX satin-black ceramic-metallic finish that withstands exhaust temperatures up to 1400 degrees F, and looks great. Hedman Husler confidently backs these headers with a One year warranty.
